AH-64+.
This photo was published by Boeing in 2003 to announce their first Greek order of D variants.
Greece has been buying Apaches from Boeing since 1995.

Found a decent video about new Greek PzH 2000 mobile artillery units.
Part 1 is boring (poorly made).
In Greek but talking parts are not long.

Submarine warfare in the Aegean Sea.
Below is a simplified geotectonic map of the Aegean sea floor.
A vast field of variable depth formations.
Those 2 natural arcs were also used (effectively) by submarines during past conflicts.
Currently, the top subs prowling these labarynths are the new U-214 class submarines.
Hellenic U-214 class sub:
These subs are designed to use advanced torpedo/missiles that are able to hit airborne threats & even coastal targets.

Go Hellios!
"ERIEYE is the first high-performance, long-range Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) system based on active phased-array pulse-Doppler radar."
"This new-generation system can be installed in a variety of aircraft, including regional jet or turboprop airliners. It meets full AEW&C requirements for detecting and tracking targets at ranges of up to 450 km over land or water."
"When compared to traditional rotodome-based solutions, it provides enhanced detection and tracking performance, including the active simultaneous tracking of multiple targets. In addition, the radar offers significantly improved resistance to Electronic Counter Measures (ECM)."
"ERIEYE is a complete AEW&C system, including radar with integrated Secondary Surveillance Radar / Identification Friend or Foe (SSR/IFF), electronic support measures, communications and data links, comprehensive command-and-control facilities and self-protection system."

Info with sources (bottom).
An order was confirmed in Aug-2003 for 34 units, which are being delivered gradually.
The 2 variants of NH-90 are TTH (Tactical Transport Helicopter) and NFH (NATO Frigate Helicopter).
NFH:
Most Greek NH-90 are TTH versions configured for Special Operations (because of the stealth design).
TTH:
For 20 troops, 1 crew chief, 2 pilots.
TTH:
For 12 stretchers, 1 crew chief, 2 pilots.

The odds are weighted towards the Eurofighter, its not a done deal yet. I think this is the best western plane outside the Raptor in terms of aerial dominance.
The F-35 is suppose to be really good at everything else.

RIM-116 RAM (Rolling Airframe Missile) system.
Used by the USA, Germany, Greece, & South Korea.
The launcher (named Mk 49) stores 21 missiles (infrared homing) capable of hitting aircraft, other missiles, etc.
RAM launcher on a new Greek Roussen class FAC:
The system has been in development since 1976 and the first systems became operational in 1992, on US navy ships.
Germany uses the system on 25 ships & the new German Braunschweig class corvettes feature the system.

F-16 Blk 52+.
2-seat versions have the dorsal avionics compartment for special equip, instead of conformal fuel tanks.
