What are these morals? They have talked about envy, greed, murder, lust and other immoral actions? People didn't know bad things are bad? I'm interested to know what they have said about slavery? They could help the world, if they fought to abolish slavery.

^ it is a fact that judeo/christian/islamic laws and morals were stronger then the pre-existing ones in the middle east, thats why so many people got attracted to these religions to begin with. Ofcourse there are certian things like (slavery) which weren't abolished mostly because of (business) reasons, slavery was an industry back then. However many many other bad practices were indeed abolished. no matter how you look at it, from a religious or non religious view, these faiths help grew their socities for the better.
also the sense of equality and justice that these religions brought were the main reason they grew

Are you serious? Human beings are by nature moral. Yes, I know some adults act like three year olds, but the purpose of mythology is to transition youth into adults. The Athenians ordered Socrates to drink hemlock because he questioned the God's, and there was concern that if the people lost faith in their God's, they would no longer be moral. This is most unfortunate because Socreates was offering us a higher morality. One based on reason. When people behave poorly it is because something is wrong with their reasoning.
However, Jesus did introduce that God is loving and forgiving, and this is a contrast to the the war Gods of the Hebrews and Persians. The Hebrew God was a a jealous, revengeful, fearsome war God, and the God of Zoroastrianism wasn't any better.
However, the God of the Jews wasn't everyone's God. The God of Jews was more of a triblal God than the God of Zoroastrianims, that allow people a chioce, to convert and to be dead, because Zoroastrianism was daulist. The god of Abraham was not daulist, but is of a time when people had in many gods, and each had a patron gods. Jesus said things that made the God less exclusive, opening the way for Paul to say this God accepts anyone who wants to follow Jesus, and they do not have to be circumcised to be one of the flock. This new religion of Christianity being as daulistic as Zoroastrianism though, just not converting with the sword, until much later when the Franks adopt Christianity and start converting with the sword.
Christianity in general is the result of using Roman Law of Nature, a legal tool, to determine truth. This is taking what all the religions have in common, and concluded since it is what everyone believes it is the truth. By deifying Jesus we are able to bridge from an old religion to a new one, but unfortunately the old testament is used to prove the new religion is valid, so Christians swing between a loving and forgiving God, to a jealous, revengeful, and fearsome God, depending on the circumstances.

What moral differences? The Golden Rule was high jacked by Christianity. Christians continue to claim everything that is good is theirs and exist because of them. No way, they have good only because they high jacked from someone else. I read they are now Christianizing the Statue of Liberty, which they originally rejected as being a pagan goddess. No one saw democracy in the bible, until there was literacy in Greek and Roman classics, and it got there because Greeks wrote the bible. Logos is a Greek concept meaning reason, and when Jesus was deified, the Greek authors of the bible associate Jesus with logos.
Zoroastrian was much better at bringing an end to slavery. The God of Abraham allows Jews to own slaves, and these their children inherit them. Zoroastrianism claims we all have individual choice, and anyone can be converted at any time. This gets brought into Christianity through Jesus. It also resulted in Islam freeing slaves after a period of learning and conversion, that is not possible for the slave of a Jew.

just because there are people out there that still do harm to others does not account for the millions of other people that learned from jesus that it is wrong to do someone harm. jesus may not have changed everyone but he did indeed curb the thinking of millions of people in a positive way.

There has been a change, we still burn crosses, only there isn't anyone on that cross at the time. I guess that amounts to something.
Christian rules? Maturation of societies happens in natural occurrence. Giving credit to Christianity for something that would occur in time anyway? Come on man, That's almost like thanking the Rooster for bringing the sun up. It's also ignoring all other influences, from all other sources.

Jesus preached peace and set an example for people to live by. He didn't talk about waging war.

are you trying to prove the point that jesus accomplished absolutely nothing? your question was "how did jesus help the world?" you cannot put aside the fact that there have been at least a few people that learned from jesus what is right and what is wrong. just because jesus was not successful in convincing every single person on earth sinning is wrong does not mean that jesus didnt help the world.
