Mountain Man, have you seen the new series of Dallas? I'm too young to remember much from the original, but it looks good so far

For me, it was "Adventures in Paradise". Winters in northern Maine were long, and I guess I wanted to escape to the South Pacific and sign on as a crewman on the "Tiki".

I still have the original vinyl soundtrack.  Few realize the impact Bernstein had on pop music with the compos.
Every once in awhile you still here someone using "The Brothers go to Mother's" in a background on some other show.
The alto sax solo over, in the actual theme, was copied for the next 20 years.

Not old, ancient. Big smile John Glenn appeared on YBYL as a USMC Major.  And Gangbusters was a Radio show, to my knowledge it didn't make it to the tube.  There were other radio shows that did make the shift.  "The Lone Ranger, Capt Midnight, Boston Blackie, to name a few.

I just remembered an early Cold War classic, "I Led Three Lives", the Kim Philby story.  It set off a whole string of "spy" shows.

As I recall, pre cable TV in Maine, was likely the reason for very large familys.  TongueBig smile

I remember sitting in my in-laws living room in Waterville, watching a show in which there were 8 people playing all percussion instruments, for an hour.  No dialogue, and Prime time as well. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.Confused

Mountain Man, I afraid that Ben did not ever star in this series. I think he was doing a Doctor show about the same time, David Janssen was the star.

Janssen previously stared as the private detective "Richard Diamond!"

And my favorite Cop Show of all time was "The Naked City!"/ "Naked City" series. Paul Burke, the star of the hour long version, and I had a long conversation while flying from London to NYC in 1971. He lived in England, and was returning to the states do make a series of Buick commercials, the ones that featured "LeSabre, Invicta, and Electra!"

When you want to get into old Television shows, I've got a hundred of them, most of which most of you will not recognize.

How about - Rocket Rangers
            Pinky Lee
            Howdy Doody
            Science Fiction Theatre
            The Show of Shows
            The Rifleman
            Wanted Dead or Alive
            The Kate Smith Show
            My Little Margie
            Spring Bride
The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis
            I Married Joan
            The Life of Reilly
            77 Sunset Strip
            Bourbon St. Beat
            Surfside Six
            The Milton Burle Show
            The Jimmy Durante Show
Sid Caesar and Imogene Coker Show
            Tennessee Ernie Ford Show
            The Dinah Shore Show
            Route 66
            Omnibus
            The Gallant Men
            Combat
            12 O'clock High
            You'll Never Get Rich
The Phil Silver's Show (SGT. Bilko)

Heck, I'm getting tired!

Maybe I will list some more old shows that I watched later.

Regards, Ron

It is actually Richard Boone! The Chinese Bell Boy in San Francisco was called "Hey boy?" LOL

Much like the Chinese cook on the Bonanza show was named "Hop Sing!" Smile

It was interesting to see re-runs of Bewitched. I think Elizabeth Montgomery was an excellent actress to be Samantha the Witch. Her mother Endora was one determined lady. Aunt Clara's magic did not always work. Gladys Kravitz was one neighbor forever spying on Mrs. Stephens.

It was nice to see reruns of Get Smart. Don Adams played Maxwell Smart. Barbara Feldon portrayed Agent 99.
It was interesting to see Maxwell making phone calls with the telephone built into the sole of his shoe.
