I don't know if it meets your standards, but I recomend you ''Fatherland'' by Robert Harris. It's a about a murder investigation in occupied by nazi's europe in the 60's.
Give me a place to stand and I will move the world.

If I get the picture correctly, you want "Alternative History/Present/Future" books, not Historical Fiction.

In that case, I would recommend "The Memorandum of Aachen", by Andrew Roberts. The story of how Germany finally conquers Europe in the next few years.
