^ Please let's not start posting pictures of one or two odd folk claiming the region is diverse. I would not even trust most sites where anyone can post what they like, as a resource for looking at diversity in populations.
Also that's a skin colour map, not a genetic one.

It looks quite accurate actually, atleast you can tell the distribution. I think I'll move it to the Skin color thread.

Can anybody tell from where Hakim Omar Khayyam came?

History is not what was written or is written, but it is actually what had happened in the past.

He was originally named Ghiyath al-Din Abu'l-Fath Omar ibn Ibrahim
Al-Nisaburi Khayymi (غیاث الدین ابو الفتح عمر بن ابراهیم
خیام نیشابوری). Khayym (خیام) is an Arabic loanword meaning
"tentmaker." He is best known for the collection of poetry, the Rubaiyat of Omar
Khayyam.

Yes, but the Mughal empire was based in north Pakistan, so you cant really relate them to Indians.

Delhi was their capital. Lahore was never the capital of the Mughals, before they captured Delhi Kabul was their capital. They has palaces in Agra and Srinagar, and Bengal was one of their most loyal provinces.
The Mughal Empire had its power base across the entire northern subcontinent. From Kabul to Bengal

One of their capitals. The empire transcended Pakistan and has everything to do with India, especially North. Even Bengal.

well majority of north indians are still a mix of dravidians and people who came from outside. so yes to some excent persian genes might be there but the dravidian gene is still a prominent feature among most still.

You need to do some research. Mughal empire started in North Pakistan, Lahore was their capital, then they expanded.

A majority of North Indian have a scythian decent and as per genetic studies there is vary less intermixing between various groups.
People of eastern UP ,Bihar ,Orissa and Bangal are from a different stock.

wrong again^ its not the majority it is still minority. Just Because invaders came from outside and settled in north india doesn't mean the orginal dravidian genes of North indians were lost. Today north india is a mix bag of people. Most still look very dravidian, while some others kinda look iranian type but that is still very small. In Pakistan though there are a lot of persian genes.
