This is cool, really cool. I mean it's probably not Alexander himself, but it's still cool to find something like this in his hometown. |

For the size of the tomb it could well be that of a monarch.

Don't know why, but even though the article doesn't clarify it, I have this crazy feeling that there were no Slavic inscriptions found ... Actually the most important is the archaelogical continent of the discover , and SPECIALLY the three marble funerary stelae and a number of ceramic vessels that were found inside the cave.Posted By: morticia

Yes, I read about this discovery. According to this article, it's size suggests it belonged to a wealthy Macedonian family. It certainly is a big one - eight chambers and dated to the Hellenistic Age between the fourth and second century B.C.
