XVII yes. they are not from Poland/Lithuania. In fact before i found those pictures i thought that "koncerz" was a weapon unique and used only in Polish - Lithuanian Commonwealth. |

Hmm..so some neighbouring country..most probably Transylvania koncerz have come to Poland from Hungary..and to Hungary from Turkey..ops..from Ottomans.. |

Your next try was logic but those 2 guys are not from Transylvania or Hungary. And i belive that Pole or Lithuanian would wear leopard skin only on armour. |

Ok here is an answer. Few days ago i have found site from which i took those 2 pictures (unfortunatelly i didnt bookmark it and cant find now). These are the pictures of Croat military painter and they show famous or infamous Croat mercenaries from the times of 30 years war. I have found there info that Habsburgs hired lots of them and that they were well known for their courage, horsemanship and cruelty. In case if they were captured they were never released but always imidatelly executed. If there, for example was a treaty that defeated army and leave besieged city or fortress, it has never included Croats, who were being murdered. |
