I was wondering if any of you could tell me of good books you have read dealing with ancient Egypt.  I am very interested and would like to find some good books to read this winter.  Also, if you had any ideas of good books dealing with other ancient civilizations, then that is fine too.  Thanks in advance.

Hello!

I have "Daily life in old Egypt" by Pierre Montet, a good and informative book. It should be avialable in english, I think.

The Tomb Builders of the Pharoahs by Morris Bierbrier is a good one for information on the average Egyptian and its really easy to read.

What period are you more interested in?
