How do you tell apart different Southeast Asian culture? Most people just clump up Southeast Asia culture together, like how they clump up Japan, Korean and Chinese culture. What is unique about each culture and country in SoutheasT Asia? What is unique about Indonesia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Phillipines, etc.

SEA is a very interesting place, The eastern side is usually divided in to muslim and buddhist culture. Indonesia, Malaysia and brunei are predominantly muslim with Hindu minority while Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar are buddhists. Vietnam has been colonized by China before so they have chinese taoist culture while the Philippines was a former Spanish Colony and is very much Latin and th only predominant roman catholic country in asia and so is east timor the newest country to date, a former portugese colony.
