Hi,
Did you know that the http://www.ancient-origins.net/artifacts-other-artifacts/sharp-edge-viking-axe-cut-out-more-one-job-009760 - Viking axe  had many forms and purposes?
For example, the http://https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dane_axe - Dane axe was a two-handed weapon and was used exclusively for battle :

And there was also the http://https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bearded_axe - bearded axe that was a one-handed weapon. It had a "beard" which was utilized to hook an enemy's weapon or shield. The bearded axe was also used for wood-working, like chopping wood and harvesting timber.
