I can't recall a more extreme shift in weather.
Right now it's 30F with 6" of heavy wet slushy crap. It gets better, forcast is for temps to go single digits overnight.
This is nuts.

It went down to 12F last nite everything that landed yesterday has frozen solid. I was able to clear the walks before the freeze, but I'm paying for it now. Picked up one heck of a head cold. But if you don't clear your walkways, you'll get fined.

Sun? Sun? In New South Wales (Australia) today temperatures reached 47 degrees Celcius in recorded areas. The whole state is threatended by major bushfires, which, if not contained could well threaten neighbouring states.

If it's not Bush Fires, it's bloody floods, it seems that mainland Australia can't win, but at least we don't have it as bad as the US which suffers bush fires, floods, Cyclones and snow storms.

Why would you live there?

Your Wildfires made the AM news here. And you forgot "Nor Easters", something else you don't get.
You live here, you get used to the weather. At least we don't get all of it all over the country all at once.
Right now it's raining, 300 miles North, they have blizzard conditions.
