The last of the ' right stuff' men.

What a life-career. I admired him and loved him as a kid and still do. Hero of two wars..test pilot..astronaut. Man had balls. A genuine concern and love for his fellow veterans and a tuff as nails politico. A man who sought peace but never shirked from war if the nation felt it was necessary. He loved HER that much.

I didn't always love his political positions but he was... short of Gordo Cooper (his close friend) and the legendary Chuck Yaeger....truly a special person for me.

RIP Colonel Glenn, USMC,. Ret.

Damn 'Slick Willy' should have 'recalled' him to duty and made him a Brigadier General. Damn shame that didn't happen in 98....oh well.
