Hi guys, I am a newcomer to these forums (long-time lurker though), and I just wanted to mention a project that I've been working on for the past few weeks that I think might interest a lot of the history buffs in here.

I recently started a podcast! It's all free, I'm not asking for any money, it's just a hobby on my part, which is why I'm posting it here for those who think it might be their cup of tea. It's called "The History of Exploration Podcast" and the idea is to look at the great voyages of exploration throughout history, starting with ancient explorers, the vikings, Marco Polo, the great age of European exploration, and hopefully (when I get there) finishing up with the modern antarctic explorers.

For reference's sake, I have a Masters' degree in history, so I do have a fair bit of academic background in the subject, although I did not specifically write my thesis on exploration.

I have 4 episodes out so far, and will release a 5th one around late April. The podcast is available on iTunes ( https://itunes.apple.com/ca/podcast/the-history-of-exploration/id1092666716?mt=2 - https://itunes.apple.com/ca/podcast/the-history-of-exploration/id1092666716?mt=2 ) Stitcher ( http://www.stitcher.com/s?fid=85419&refid=stpr - http://www.stitcher.com/s?fid=85419&refid=stpr ) or at the podcast website on http://historyofexploration.net - http://historyofexploration.net

I also have a Facebook page where I interact with my listeners and post other content (maps, images, etc.) that I can't easily convey in an audio format. You can find it at https://www.facebook.com/The-History-of-Exploration-Podcast-978672375540207/ - https://www.facebook.com/The-History-of-Exploration-Podcast-978672375540207/

So, if you think it might interest you, please give it a listen, and send me feedback or any constructive criticism you might have! I love hearing from my audience, and I know how knowledgeable you guys all are about history.
