Me 262 as a fighter-bomber - was in about the same size category as Allied planes used in that role - such as Typhoon/Thunderbolt/Corsair, & could carry an equivalent bomb load.. As an early turbo-jet, the 262 was faster in the air, but accelerated to take-off speed more slowly. Its high speed was, infact an issue that made deilvering its bombs on target, difficult. ------------- Be Modest In Thyself.. |
