Avignon Cathedral (Cathédrale Notre-Dame des Doms d'Avignon) is a Roman Catholic cathedral located next to the Palais des Papes in the French city of Avignon.
The cathedral was built primarily in the second half of the 12th century. The bell tower collapsed in 1405 and was rebuilt in 1425. Avignon Cathedral was abandoned and allowed to deteriorate during the French Revolution. It was reconsecrated in 1822 and restored by Archbishop Célestin Dupont in 1835 to 1842. The most prominent feature of the cathedral is a gilded statue of the Virgin Mary. |

REIMS CATHEDRAL
Notre-Dame de Reims (Our Lady of Reims) is the seat of the Archdiocese of Reims, where the kings of France were crowned. The cathedral replaced an older church, destroyed by fire in 1211, that was built on the site of the basilica where Clovis was baptized by Bishop Remi of Reims in 496. On May 19, 1051, King Henry I of France and Anna of Kiev were married in Reims Cathedral. The south tower holds two great bells. One bell, named "Charlotte" by Charles, Cardinal of Lorraine in 1570, weighs about 11 tons. |

ARRAS CATHEDRAL
Arras Cathedral (Cathédrale Notre-Dame-et-Saint-Vaast d'Arras) is the Roman Catholic cathedral of the city of Arras, France. It is the seat of the bishops of Arras. The original cathedral of Arras, built between 1030 and 1396, a Gothic structure, was destroyed in the French Revolution. The church of the former St. Vaast's Abbey was rebuilt in classical style as a replacement cathedral. Arras Cathedral was destroyed by shelling in April of 1917 and subsequently rebuilt. |
