Falconry seems to have been popular in many parts of the world across many centuries. I'm sure (as with hounds) birds of prey were sometimes viewed on a personal level as individuals.
Do we know of any personal names that were given to an historical bird of prey - or are there any stories about an individual bird of prey's prowess or behaviour? |

Eagle, Hawk, Falcon and Buzzard are male names in Turkey but none of them in top 100. And as a historical, each sub-tribe of Oghuz Tribe (ancestry of Turks, Azeris and Turkmens) have a bird symbol.  |

 ishak is also male name  and even a kind of phoenix, Tuğrul is a male name in Turkey

King Henry III of England had a gyrfalcon named Blanchpenny, and two hawks named Pilgrim & Lespaynol.
Henry II had a falcon named Wiscard Edward III had peregrine falcons named Strabolgy, Ros, Berewyk, and Erlham |

English name is Eurasian scops owl. The name is also used by male Jews in Turkey
