I have been looking for 13th century illustrations of Hungarian soldiers and have found: http://www.warfare.meximas.com/13/Kigyospuszta_buckle.htm - A Buckle decorated with Fighting Knights from Kígyóspuszta, Hungary, 13th century Comparing David Nicolle's drawing with the photo it can be seen that b has antlers on his helmet rather than curved horns and d does not have a diamond shaped pommel.
There is also: http://www.warfare.meximas.com/13/Seal-Stephen_V_Hungary-1263-rear.htm - A
seal of Stephen V as a Hungarian Knight, 1263 http://www.warfare.meximas.com/13/Seal-Stephen_V_Hungary-1263-front.htm - The
front of the seal with King-junior Stephen of Eastern Hungary,
1263
There doesn't seem to be many contemporary 13th century illustrations of Hungarians. Does anyone have any?
