Hi all, I take photographs of local historical landmarks. A while back, I visited the grounds of an abandoned famine workhouse, which opened in 1845. The workhouse is located in Wexford, Ireland. Here is one of the photographs of the front of the building:

Wexford Workhouse

You can find a set of photographs http://wexford-hub.blogspot.com/2014/10/famine-workhouse-wexford.html - here . There is also an in-depth write-up available about the workhouse, which can be found http://wexfordhub.com/history/wexford-workhouse/ - here .

Let me know if you have any questions or general feedback.

Thanks,
Wayne

Looks like a once-beautiful structure for such a sad use.

Unfortunately, they've let it fall into disrepair. It would cost millions to try and revert the damage.
