Dear all, my husband's grandfather married a beautiful Turkish woman called Zahra Abbas, which makes my husband 1/4 Turkish. He really wants to trace this part of his family but all we have is an old document about his grandfather. We hope that this will help us to start the search, but we cannot read the document as it is handwritten in Ottoman Turkish. Please is there anyone out there on this Forum who could help us get started or who can advise us as to who could help? Your assistance would be very much appreciated. Best Wishes, Linda Al Ansari

Maybe, I can help you. I know some farsi, turkish and Arabic, and I can read Arabic scripts. I have not much tried to read ottoman texts, but, they are a mix of these languages.

@T-123456 Shias usually use these names, which is composed  of Hazrat Fatima's, and Abbas's names. The name holder can be from Arab countries, or even from Iran or a shia turk ;)
