I already posted this in modern history but, seeing as how it is appropriate here as well, I'm reposting in hopes that someone can help me.

Is the Schlieffen plan itself actually compiled anywhere in writing as a single document, or was it more of an abstraction dispersed in stationairy and German government orders? I have been looking for the plans, or the parts thereof, for some time now, and so far have come up empty handed. There is a plethora of secondary works on the subject, but I need something primary, can anyone help me?

The Schlieffen Plan comes from the Schlieffen Plan/Testament Memorandum of 1905, submitted to the military. It did exist as a coherant body, however from it's submission onwards was modified and tested right upto 1914. I would presume the initial submission still exists as well as details of it's modifications. To find it I would suggest you ask a German member it's full title in German and do a google search.
