Archaeologists have found part of an Achaemenid palace complex near the Persian gulf in Bushehr province of Iran.

It is believed that the main part of this complex has been buried under the palm trees and unfortunately tree roots have probably rooted out it.

This ancient Achaemenid palace is called "Bardak Siah", the word Siah means Black in Persian and I think it refers to the Black stones of the palace.

Because of a relief of Darius the Great which was discovered at this archaeological site (almost the same as his relief at the Persepolis with a servant carrying an umbrella behind him), archaeologists says it was probably a palace of this Persian king.

One of the most important findings of this Achaemenid palace is four pieces of gold in the form of thick folded sheets, it is said there are some valuable inscriptions on them but for some unknown reasons they have not still been unfolded!
