England Expects That Every Man Will Do His D U T Y

On this day over 200 years ago Nelson defeated the French and Spanish but was himself killed in action. The signal above was sent as battle was about to commence, using a set of flags invented by Popham.

I visisted the battle site 3 years ago, there wasnt very much to see, it had been sadly neglicted. ;)
The victory at portsmouth navy docks is very good, even if it is only 20% of what was at Trafalger.
And they have moved the spot he died on.

Azita, what did you see when you went to Trafalgar? Are there still wrecks on the seabed?

Nick, im sorry, this was an attempt at subtle humour on my part.
Of course the site is just like any other bit of sea.

But i hadnt considered wreck diving, which upon my googling this, is possible, now that would be great fun.

Regards

Azita
