Iranian archaeologist Ayyub Soltani has recently discovered a bas-relief of a fish-man in the northernmost part of the Persian Gulf in Khuzestan province of Iran:
It seems to be the same Babylonian God Oannes who has been described in the ancient Mesopotamian texts. -------------
