Zeytinburnu (Seytin Burun) means "Cape Olive". It is located between the Wall of Constantinople and River near Chirpiji (look at the map). more information http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeytinburnu - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeytinburnu   ottoman military hospital, now town hall  When I was in primary school, I dreamed like that could this coloum be a part of ancient temple.  It is in the garden of district football team Armenian Hospital  and church in the hospital garden  the most famous fountain in my district, "Kazlıçeşme" ("Fountain with Goose")  Gate of Seven Tower Dungeon (we use term dungeon, not english page is about fortress) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yedikule_Fortress#Yedikule_Fortress - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yedikule_Fortress#Yedikule_Fortress  Sorry for the bad photo. These walls divide Zeytinburnu and Fatih distirict and this is one of the gate in the walls. Some years ago I took a 7 days tour of Istanbul, I thought it should be too long for just one city, but after the trip my opinion was changed, you can stay for more than one month in this city and everyday find something new. -------------

last week was minus 2 and snow but today was really sunny and 10-12 degree and next weekend will be snowy too. Boring hot and freezing cold never stay to much in Istanbul, it has an excallent climate like all north mediterrean (my idea )

Hagia Sophia in Zeytinburnu I choose this name for showing its important. This is the one of alive and the most important greek church in İstanbul. Its name is Balıklı  Entrence hall  All stones on the ground, is actually a kind of tablet  These are tombs of older patriarches  this is my last picture. there is a cleaning so I couldn't get in.
