Sir Winston Churchill KG OM CH TD PC DL FRS..Hon. Citizen of the United States.
What were the particulars behind his refusal to accept the peerage of Duke of London.
Sources say it was his son Randolph who objected...as this would have been a heriditary title...Why?

I would appreciate a good link or reference.

Thanks

His son wanted to become an MP, as a Duke he would not be allowed under the law without first renouncing the title. Lords are not allowed in the House of Commons.

As colonel can become MP?I prefer MB!Aliens here I am!
House of Commons and House of Lords have in GB.It is very racial, people could not mix their blood! You can buy the peerage and eliminate, you and ancestors of yourself, out of House of Commons.Ridiculous, very indeed!
