Comic books still count as literature, right? The link below contains images from Spielberg's new Tintin film based on Herge's 1959 book. And might i say, their depictions of Tintin and Captain Haddock are spot-on:

I'm not that impressed by the depiction of some of the other characters, but the trailer still looks good. The motorbike scene reminds me of Indiana Jones 3

I just don't know anything about TinTin. Hopefully it won't bore me when I take my son to see the film.

maybe my reaction is just agaist newness.

but it is still difficult to accept it. I prefer to remember him as in carton, not with 3d movies.

Normally we dont know his eyes colour. In the cartoon, his bread is nearly 2 times  lot then in the movie

The movie was OK, but would have been much better if it was live-action as some of the characters (Thompson twins in particular) didn't look right
