http://www.youngmuslims.ca/online_library/books/women_in_the_shade_of_islam - Women In the Shade of Islam , This site talks about the bad situation of women in the Indian, Chinese, Roman, Greek, Jewish, ... societies during the Prophet Mohammad's time but not Persian society because in that time a woman was the God of Persia!

Sassanid Empress Buran

When Buran ascended to the throne, She attempted to bring stability to the empire. This stability, according to Tabari, was brought about by a peace treaty with Byzantium, the revitalizing of the empire through justice, rebuilding of the infrastructure, lowering of taxes, and minting coins. We know that Buran was acknowledged by many provinces, since throughout the empire various mints struck coins in her name.
As the daughter of Khosrow II she must have been an important heir to the throne, since other contenders were only nephews or cousins. Buran was committed to reviving the memory and prestige of her father, when the Sassanid Empire had grown to its largest territorial extant.

Very cool, let us hope that one day soon women will again reach equality with men in Iran.

it seems she was a great ruller and brought peace and prosperity back to iran during her time as queen(king).
my question is if there was a people called puranians, because there are other names like TURANDOKHT, IRANDOKHT indicating divers peoples like turanians and iranians?
who was puranians and where did they live?

Why would there be a tribe called puranians? Where did you even get such an idea that such a tribe may exist? Just wondering.

Also, she didn't do much at all, the empire was in chaos and collapsed soon after. Shes being given a lot more credit than I feel she is worth. She certainly did not revitalize the empire. The Sassanid Empire had become corrupt, the Zoroastrian priests had too much power and were also corrupt, the empire was bankrupt, its entire army was destroyed, etc...

There is a reason why the Arabs were able to overrun the Byzantines and the Sassanids so easily. They had destroyed each other in decades of senseless warfare. The Arabs simply swept in and cleaned up the left overs.

Because of the name 'Purandokht', which meant 'Daughter of Puran', just as 'Turandokht' meant 'Daughter of Turan' and 'Irandokht' meant 'Daughter of Iran'.

The same reason the Americans were able to overrun the Germans so easily in WWII. They had exhausted themselves in years of fighting the Russians. The Americans simply swept in and cleaned up the left overs.

Only difference, the Russians still had enough energy not to be overrun by the Americans as well.

Not true, the German's put up a heck of a fight, they were a very formidable force when the American's joined the war.

The problem with Sassanid Persia and the Byzantine Empire was that they had not only exhausted themselves (and lost hundreds of thousands of their finest troops), they were basically bankrupt, corruption was extensive, and, in the case of Persia, there was a lot of internal divisions and strife.

But the Germans had already been fighting for a good three years when America finally decided to join the war, fresh.

The fact that the Germans still put up a helluva fight when they were severely running out of oil, arms, spare parts, ammo and fighting-fit fighting men, while a growing number of enemies were increasingly surrounding them on practically all sides, was, simply and purely, testimony to their enormous reserves of courage, pride and ferocity.

You've got to give that to them.

Yes, but what I am saying is that this Buran is being given far too much credit in this thread. Sassanid Persia was in no position to resist against an Arab invasion, which is why it collapsed. Same goes for Byzantium.

pourandokht was a wise woman main reason that  she made peace with byzantines was to regain power and economical stability, but she diden't stay at power for such a long time to realise that and arabs had the power of religion and newly gained unity among them and some victories too that gave them both better motivation and moral strength too.

It's a familiar plot. An old, decayed empire usurped by a young emergent power comprising a motley crew of newly united disparate tribes.

America never attacked Russia during WW2, you need to revise your history ^.^

However, Byzantium can be Russia in the example you set, since the Byzantines weren't completely overrun by the Arabs either. The Arabs failed to capture Constantinople and the Byzantine empire existed for another 800 years.
