The Thracians wore a hat (in the phrygian style) that was called an alopekis (Ancient Greek: Αλωπεκίς), which was made of a foxes scalp, with its ears prominently exposed. I wasn't able to find a good representation, so sorry, no pic. ------------- |

The Thracian Goddess Bendis was portrayed as wearing a hat like this. She is the figure standing on the right (from a Greek vase);
