I know of no acccount of Chinese being sold to the west by Huns.  Someone on this forum once suggested that some captured Chinese were pressed into the service of the Hun military.  That would be consistent with what we know of Hun tactics concerning captives (that were, uh, allowed to live).

Interesting question. Most likely, the Huns would either use them as slaves or just kill off for their entertainment... but trading with Europe is not a good idea financially. They have to feed the Chinese slaves well, and have to drag them all the way to Europe from China. That would have increased the cost for slaves in the market. Furthermore, I don't think many European nobles preferred expensive foreign slaves that cannot speak European languages at all. Besides, they may not be even reliable. They might possess evil magic for all we know.LOL

Many Han soldiers and generals defected and served the Xiongnu.
Good example is General Li Lin . The Han court and the courts of most
Han based dynasties are unforgivable to generals who lost battles.
Slaves in nomadic societies are not as bad as sedentary societies.
They eventually become blended into the mainstream.

Selling slaves to Persia is not profitable because of the reasons that I have said for the European case.

Many Chinese who were captured by Huns were employeed as black smith, because the Huns could not produce any matallic objects.  Many Chinese Have also recieve positions in the Huns army as advisors.
