However, it's a well known fact that Hipparchos was a genius that preceeded his own times.

For that, the European Space Agency sent into orbit a satellite for astronomical observations named after him:

Very true, Serge, but this discovery confirms his genius - or at least helps to do so.  

Makes you wonder at what else from the past is hidden in plain sight, doesn't it?

There are many "theories" or should I say proved on FACTS ideas, the problem is that they are still not widely accepted for some mysterious reason.
