When Saxons started to settle in Britain's western coast in 5th centuries, did they had any ties or diplomatic relationships with Saxons which stayed in Germany.

Did Britain's Saxons helped German Saxons in war (772-814) with Charlemagne's Frank kingdom?

I haven't found anywhere that the had any clear contacts. Bede (Anglo-Saxon) wrote on continental Saxons but he said precisely that they had no relevant political organization: "the old Saxons have no king, but they are governed by several eorldermen (satrapas) who during war cast lots for leadership, but who in time of peace are equal in power" (Wikipedia).

It doesn't seem that British Angl-Saxons helped continental Saxons during the war with the Franks (again no references). This could be because more than two centuries had pased since they broke apart and also because Anglo-Saxons were Christians, while the characteristic of continental Saxons is that they fiercely kept their traditional beliefs.

The last Saxons arrived well over 150 years before the old saxons fought charlemagne. While in the early years of the invasion they seemed to know what was going on back in germany, by the time of charlemagne the saxons would have long since integrated into the indginous population. It's questionable how many residents of saxon kingdoms would have considered themselves related to the old saxons. Beyond a few nobles who would have used the old bloodlines to justify their positions, the saxon blood for the rest of the population would have been pretty thin.
