In The Book of Lamentations, Chapter 3 Verse 27 states:          
It is good for a man to bear the yoke from his youth.       

Please define to bear the yoke.

A yoke is a device worn across the shoulders, both by beasts and by man, in order to take the strain of weighty objects, a burden. It is a burden in general that the phrase, "to bear the yoke" is alluding to, but as with the example given in the OP it tends to be largely symbolic. 
What a handsome figure of a dragon. No wonder I fall madly in love with the Alani Dragon now, the avatar, it's a gorgeous dragon picture.
