QuoteReplyTopic: Greek Phalanx Formation Posted: 09-Feb-2015 at 13:01
Thinking about some research I was wondering if anyone could help me with the following questions: Were the Greeks as self-conscious of the merits of the phalanx before the Battle of Marathon as we are admirant of it today? What significance did the ancients attach to this method of warfare, and is there any evidence that they were as inquisitive of its origins and development as we are today?
