Very tricky data.Time period comes 30-40 yers after death of Alexander.What did happen than?Mass murdering had been done by whom and why?!?Was this a POW camp?!?

An examination of the era must include not only internecine elements but purges and pogroms of groups by an unknown or known force.

Bl.who was active in the region during the time period? Colonisation? military occupation? etc... Then if sources can be found an explanation might be had.

It was probably an important event, from the third century BC there could be some massacres by Bosporan, Scythian, Pontus and Roman kings in this region, but as I mentioned in this thread: http://www.allempires.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=31563 It is possible that Goths were also either among the invaders or the natives.
