QuoteReplyTopic: Did Gandhi influence western thought? Posted: 11-Feb-2013 at 22:11
I was wondering about this the other day, the western world generally has been peaceful since world war 2, also since world war 2 the western societies have been transformed in to peace loving societies with all kinds of equalities for everybody.
My question is how much influence did Gandhi have on western thought?
The Civil Rights movement in the US was heavily influenced. MLK was particularly influenced by Gandhi. MLK used Gandhi's passive resistance techniques.
