Hello everyone, I read in wikipedia that the Dead Sea used to be much bigger than it is right now and that it was in fact a lake called lake "Lisan". So this means that there was a time when this sea was not saline and due to many geological transformation, became the saltiest sea in the world.
I also learned that the sea of Galilee, a fresh-water lake, was connected to the Dead Sea before the big lake started to diminish in size and that until today there are still many remaining rivers and springs along the south coast of the Dead Sea.
My question is the following: Considering all these facts, is it reasonable to say that there used to be two big lakes of water that were right next to each other and that were separated either naturally (such as in estuaries, where salty water does not mix with fresh water) or due to some thin rocky ridge or other natural means?
