Everyone knows the story of Cain and Abel,(Don't they?), and at the conclusion Cain receives Go's curse. Cain accepts the punishment but is scared that whomever he comes across will kill him so God marks him and threatens anyone who would harm Cain with punishment seven times over. My question is this....if Cain and Abel were the third and fourth people on Earth following Adam and Eve, just who was Cain afraid of?

 Remember that the myths of the Old Testament involve prolonged lifespans. Anyone who reaches the age of say, fifteen, has several hundred years to off Cain.
