Topic: Stonehenge update Posted: 13-May-2011 at 18:55 |
Hi, some exciting new discoveries associated with Stonehenge. It didn't stand alone, but is connected with two other circles, representing life and death, with a river connecting them. That river makes this find, not so different from the river between life and death in Egypt. Stones represent death and ancestors, and trees represent the living. There is a circle of trees, and then a river trip to a circle of blue stones which is a place of death, and then the path to Stonehenge. The sun rises at one and sets at the other. All together, this is pretty awesome.

It's definitely an interesting development, but my guess is that the stones from the bluehenge were moved to help make Stonehenge.

What a handsome figure of a dragon. No wonder I fall madly in love with the Alani Dragon now, the avatar, it's a gorgeous dragon picture.

This article is a bit misleading, all this stuff about how stonehenge was used is speculation and also the article gets its facts about how many circles there were wrong, the was far more than one wooden one in the nieghbourhood, they discovered a number when they excavated the slip road. Missing a few circles hardly makes this a quality article.
Julian Richards, archaeologist and presenter of BBC2 TV series Meet The Ancestors, believes, however, that such certainty is beyond our reach.
'Any one person who says they have the answer is being a bit over-confident,' he said. 'If you think that Stonehenge was created, used and modified over 1,400 years then it probably was used for many different things.'

Personally I think it was the local Brew House. It held a much higher station back then.
To ascertain what Stonehenge was, a study of all "stone circles", world wide, should be done. A data base of all should be created. These circles exist on every continent, North America included.
Stonehenge isn't the largest of them either.

Avebury just down the road dwarves Stonehenge.
