Jewish Presence in Jewbare and nearby regions in Isfahan dates back to at least 2700 years ago, in this region there is an ancient Jewish cemetery with tombs inscribed from the second century, including the tomb of Sarah, the daughter of the patriarch Asher (son of Jacob):

It is said there are still 23 active Synagogues in this region, of course most of them have almost the same architecture.
