I'm looking for data about how many people were incarcerated by the Nazi's during WW2 or deported to germany as forced labor.
I've got rather accurate number for my own country(belgium) but i'm
still looking for numbers of the other (mainly european) countries.
I've also got the numbers of most west european countries their
prisoner of war ratios but the east european country numbers are rather
vague (and vary greatly)
So if anyone has any data about the number of people that were
a) political prisoner
b) Prisoner of war
c) drafted as laber
d) Deported
These people have in depth knowledge on anything WWII and are especially knowledgable about anything Axis and WWII. I would not be surprised, however, that even with the level of knowledge at AHF, the final numbers still vary (alot)
A lot of French civilians were sent to work in the German factories. Many resistance cells originated as organised groups of young men who didn't want to go to Germany
