If you've ever been interested in science fiction then you already know who the late Sir
Arthur Clarke is.( For those who don't, he's the guy who wrote 2001: a Space Odyssey)
Decades before their invention he came up with the concept of communication satellites in geosynchronous orbit (also known as "Clarke orbit" after him)
