How are books by Victor Davis Hanson?
 
All I have really read by him is his articles on politics that have appeared online even though his books look good and interesting but I haven't checked those out even though I saw his A War Like No Other at Borders.

I agree.  His thesis on the Greeks and the agrarian imperative of how they came to wage war is good.  Since 9/11, he has been publishing to sell books at Barnes & Noble.
