There is a ton of books I've wanted to read recently and I'm thinking I'll just list them.

The History of the Ancient World: From the Earliest Accounts to the Fall of Rome
By Susan Wise Bauer

The Wages of Destruction: The Making and Breaking of the Nazi Economy
By Adam Tooze

Nazi Germany and the Jews: Volume 1: The Years of Persecution 1933-1939
By Saul Friedlander

The Years of Extermination: Nazi Germany and the Jews, 1939-1945
By Saul Friedlander

Ends of British Imperialism: The Scramble for Empire, Suez, and Decolonization
By Wm. Roger Louis

Forgotten Armies: The Fall of British Asia, 1941-1945

By Christopher Bayly

Forgotten Wars: Freedom and Revolution in Southeast Asia
By Christopher Bayly

So what does everyone else want to read?

This is pretty much my Christmas wishlist right here.

The End of the Bronze Age.  By Robert Drews.

Charlemagne.  By Derek Wilson.

The Complete World of Greek Mythology.  By Richard Buxton.

Hustler Days: Minnesota Fats, Wimpy Lassiter, Jersey Red and the Great Age of Pool.  By R. A. Dyer.

A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier.  By Ishmael Beah.

The Greeks and the Irrational.  By E. R. Dodds

Nero.  By Edward Champlin.

The Life and Times of Constantine the Great.  By D. G Kousoulas.

Marco Polo:  From Venice to Xandau.  By Laurence Bergreen.

The Jews in the Roman World.  By Micheal Grant.

Many more, but these are a few!

Btw, Kevin.  I have heard great things about Bauer's book from a few friends of mine that have read it.  I was thinking about picking that up too.

I was meaning to get the History of the Ancient World, however a friend of mine talked me into getting The Prize instead.

I'd say that listing the books I don't want to read is easier... if I only had the time... and the money.

It's about the history of oil and it's effects on geopolitics and economics of  modern history.

Look in second-hand bookshops; you can get some of the best things there and the industry is dying. SUPPORT THE ANTIQUARIAN AND SECOND-HAND BOOK TRADE!

^^Clap  Glad to see another supporter of second hand book stores.  Half Price Books is a chain here that I frequent.  Over 2/3 of my books are from there.

Kevin -

Here is their website:

As far as I know they do not have online shopping.  Though you can use coupons to get at least 15% off your purchases (which are already 50% off; 65% offSmile)  You get those coupons through their calenders which are free.

Hope that helps.

ALL OF DOSTEYEVSKY (I've only read two of his book so far - some of the best works of literature that I've ever read) but I obviously don't have the time for that right now

My biggest problem is I have more books to read than what I am able to read! I don't have much time at all, but I keep buying books.

In my waiting list I have four science fiction books, for example.

I wish I have time one day for reading the Bible fully, the Illiad and the Oddysey, the Divine Comedy, The Araucaniad and The Quixote once again, and so many other books I just read it resumes or already forgot them.
