Was this faith as much prevalent among Turkic tribes as it was among Mongolic tribes?

Aman Tanrim! (O, my God!) On the contrary. Steppe peoples were heavy into Tengri-ism. Water, land and air had there mystical reverance. Yes. I remember on one occasion Mongolian general Subudai said to a Kypchak tribal chief: "We worship the same god and share the same customs."

It was perhaps the simplest of all faiths.
 
No worship, no temples, no devi, devatas, (godesses, gods) no moral codes, no philosophy, no rites, no rituals.
