I read two intersting articles yesterday that i thought a few people here might be intersted to read.

The first is more relevant and is to do with indian history, but is linked to the second so i thouhgt i might as well post that too.

Rajeev Srinivasan is one of my favourite columnists.

It is true that leftists have continually tried to denigrate India's past. Only then would their theories of class struggle be relevant.

i'm really intrigued about his slamming of what most people and websites claim to be the birth of indian culture.

He claims that the only reason people claim that the indus/saraswati civilisations began around 1,500 BC is because the person who originally claimed it used the belief that the world was created at 4004 BC, then a thousand years later noah and the great flood happend, and it took 2 mellenia for the fllod waters to completely go back to normal and for europeans to settle in india!

I never thought of it that way, but it makes sense. and besides, archeaoligists can now prove indian civilisation going back all the way to the end of the last ice age.

warlord, does he only post on rediff, or does he have his own dedicated site?

I have not come across any personal website. He does post on some other sites, but rediff seems to be the main one.
