hmm... For the japanese I think Odosan and Okasan is a later term.  O meaning big or great, San is the respectful title.  So in the ancient times they probably just call their dad "Do~" and their mom "Ka~"

Ok... who the hell call their mom "ka"?  You win, they are probably aliens after all.

But of course we worship cars!!!  The Great Car God himself is intimately tied into American mating rituals which obviously involve the Car.  In California, this deity is supreme!!!  Do you think that we Californians will surrender our Car for public transportation?  Hell, no!!!!!!!

In historical times we do know of such earth goddesses such as Gaia and Ma.  Gaia was said to have been the original goddess of Delphi before Apollo took it over, and archaeological investigation has found one those "fat dolls" under Delphi's temple.  Other "dolls" have been found within religious contexts such as in amulet form.  If there was any continuity, we know that we can find the same stylized forms as far back as the Paleolithic, 30,000 years ago.
