im surprised that you didnt mention zoroasterism or mithraism.... mostly people as nationalistic as you talk about going back to the old religion and things like that.

but nice list.

Check the meaning of religion, then create a new word for this type of patronism.

Either make a history or become a history.

Although I may not necessarily agree with the original post, I am seeing Iran along with Afghanistan and Tajikistan establish even stronger cultural and social bonds.   I believe Hamid Karzai while visiting Iran said that it was like visiting is own country.   Thumbs Up

fantastic list. I was always a part of such movements.

the reason why he probably didn't mention Zartosht and others was because the list would go on and on to list all Iranian greats

The idea of "nationality" is nothing more but just one of the many ways one uses to identify oneself. I will never allow myself to be defined exclusively by such an artificial and narrow concept. I know this sounds extremely clich, but I do and always try my best to see myself an inhabitant of this planet above all my other identities. As a result of that, I hope to see the humanity of each individual rather than his or her race, gender, nationality, ethnicity, religion, social class, sexual orientation, etc.

A nation-state, as a political entity, is important in the sense that it provides essential services and personal security (mainly but not exclusively financial) to its members. If I say I am proud to be a Canadian, it's more because overall, as a political entity, this country provides a relatively satisfactory level of services and amount of personal security to me and to its citizens in general. There're always some hidden skeletons in the closet of every country's past and present. That's why I have no qualms about exposing and condemning any ugly deeds that this country has committed.

Treating one's nationality as the exclusivity of one's being inevitably narrows one's worldview and can ultimately be very dangerous.

After reading "my religion is Iranian" ???Confused
I didnt bother to read rest of the crap. There is enough waffle in that first line, for it to be taken seriously.

What is iranian?, I agree a stupid question to ask in this circumstance.

Instead of writing that long list it'd be much easier to just sum it up in one sentence: "I'm an Iranian who happens to be crazy as a coot."

What exactly is the Iranian religion ? I am sure if the present powers in Iran came to know about his attractions, he would find it hard to survive, lest propogate his cause.
