As probably most people know, Google has this thing where they take snapshots of webpages periodically, so if the site's closed down, you can still look at the old pages.

Here's some examples:

TJK has been doing some of it and there were many post that would be great to recover but from what I understand it can be quite timeconsuming. I just can't seem to find the thread where it waas being discussed

In fact I have found only about 120 pages rest seems to be erased from cache

Google isn't the inly site that keeps a cache, there is another, supposidly better one. Hmmmm, i'll see if i have the link lying around.

Archives.org has about 788 pages, but that includes old pages.

Google's cache will be deleted soon, once its bot sees that the page no longer exists after a certain time.

OK, that would be great if some other sites could be found then...

Seems a shame for all those threads to be lost, especially the ones being used as articles.
