..hello everyone....

..need a little help if you can....

...........I am in the process of putting together a research project concerning the conflict that took place in the early 1990's between Georgia and the breakaway region of Abkhazia.

I have a substantial amount of material concerning dates, events, actions, politics, web based material etc......but what i am looking for is any kind of different perspectives that others may well be aware of...i.e..personal experiences/opinions, stories, documents, anything of this nature that you might think would be useful.....

.....any help would be of massive, massive value to me.....if you would like to keep any correspondence private, please pm me and we can go from there.....otherwise, i would be very interested to read any comments or thoughts on the subject...

...thank you for reading this..hope you can help me out....

It hadn't only happened in early 1990s but after pro-European leader Saakashvili came into power in Georgia, pro-Russian Abkhazia leader Abashidze rebelled against Georgia, just happened like a year ago. Saakashvili weren't let inside Abkhazian borders etc., some events occurred but I believe later Abashidze was so pressured that he had to leave the country among with his power and escape to Russia.

we made up sorrows for ourselves;
we couldn't be consoled;

..hello Kapikulu..

..thank you for your reply....i have been aware of recent events in the area as it make it my task to keep up with news from the region, but thank you kindly for your comments.....my main focus of interest is in the unsuccessful attempt by the Georgian authorities to 'capture' the Abkhazia region in the early 1990's, mainly because of the actions involved, and because i have quite a bit of primary resources relating to eye-witness's who were there at the time.....its less of an 'analysis' but more a narrative from the 'human' aspect......

...thanks again.....
