The first people who developed fire and agriculture. Almost everything else was a result of those two important discoveries.

true. very good answer i would have to agree. but i guess the question i was trying to ask was what peoples had the greatest single accomplishment for instance what the romans did or the spanish discovering and basically populating all of latin america?

Depends on which part of history you're looking at. In Western History,
the Romans probably had the most influence of any people; In Far
eastern history, the Chinese; In the Rennaissance, the Italians; etc.
For all of world history, no single people had the greatest influence.

well the reason basically all of the countries from mexico south speak spanish(with the exception of brazil) is because spain single-handedly conquered and populaed with the indians this vast uncharted new-world, seems like a pretty huge accomplishment.

Many cultures have had an enormous influence in the world. You can't state "who was the most influental" just out of the blue... would be better maybe if you suggested a specific category (like linguistically, as you present your argument about Spanish... well, even that way, Spanish is a direct offspring of Latin ... see, it's kinda cloudy...).

Undoubtable the historians who write it down, often a couple of centuries after it happened usually on mostly hearsay, speculation and political agenda.

I think that France, in the time of Napoleon, turn out into the most influential country. Napoleon ruled in Italy, Germany, Spain and almost the whole Europe.

I wouldn't say Napoleon more like the republicans. After french revolution/Napoleonic era, religion was no more important, people became more logical and secular, science became of prime importance. Basically this was the european (world) turning point and europe (centre of the world in those days) started to develop at a rate never seen before. The technological and organisations allowed the europeans to conquer any people anywhere with great ease.
